About Exitmargin

A place for perspective.
Not another demand.

A private financial journal for understanding where you stand and preserving the position you reviewed.

Built by Abey Thomas

Exitmargin is built and maintained by Abey Thomas, a software engineer. The guides explain general financial concepts and the operation of the product. They are not financial, investment, or tax advice.

Why this exists

Financial information can be spread across spreadsheets, account apps, statements, and old notes. A total alone does not preserve the balances behind it. Exitmargin brings assets and liabilities together and keeps dated checkpoints you can reopen.

The aim is a useful review at your own pace. There are no streaks, review deadlines, market alerts, or bank connections. Your existing spreadsheet can stay.

What we build around

  • Clear arithmetic: assets minus liabilities, with visible balance movements.
  • Honest history: recorded months, visible gaps, and corrections you confirm.
  • Local records: no account required and no upload of financial values.
  • Ownership: portable backups and clear limits about storage and encryption.

How these guides are written

Guides are published under the Exitmargin project name and maintained by Abey Thomas. They explain financial definitions and the current product. They do not claim financial qualifications, independent financial review, or endorsements from the sources they link to.

We distinguish education from personal advice, label synthetic examples, link primary sources for financial definitions, and state the product’s limits. We check product instructions when relevant features change. We review source links and factual claims when a correction or material change is identified.

Publication dates are shown on articles. Material revisions receive an updated date in both the article and its structured metadata. Routine builds do not change dates. Sources describe their own services and rules; they do not endorse Exitmargin.

Send a correction or a question to support@exitmargin.com. Include the guide URL and the point that needs checking. Do not include financial backups or unredacted financial details.

Local-first, with clear limits

Local does not mean encrypted or automatically backed up. Each browser profile holds its own journal. Keep a private backup and use a device and profile you trust.
